Pool Remodeling by AE Outdoor Living in Arizona
Resurface · Retile · Recoping · Equipment · Full remodel

Bring your pool
back to brand new.

A pool in Arizona takes a beating — UV, hard water, ground movement, and ten summers of 115° heat. Most pools built in the Valley before 2015 are due for a refresh. We remodel pools the same way we build them: one accountable team, fixed-price scope, and equipment that will still be working in 2040.

What you get

Built to last.
Built right.

Most Arizona pool remodels fall between $18,000 and $65,000+ depending on scope. A straightforward resurface + waterline tile runs $18k–$28k. A full remodel — new plaster, tile, coping, decking, equipment, and water features — typically runs $45k–$85k+. Full backyard renovations (pool + deck + pergola + outdoor kitchen + turf) run $85k–$200k+.

  • Pebble Tec, Pebble Sheen, mini-pebble, and quartz interior finishes.
  • Waterline tile, spillways, raised wall and water-feature tile.
  • Travertine, porcelain, and flagstone coping replacement.
  • Travertine, paver, and broom-finish concrete deck overlays and replacement.
  • Pentair, Jandy, and Hayward equipment upgrades — pumps, heaters, automation, salt, UV.
  • Add-ons: spas, baja shelves, bubblers, deck jets, fire bowls, glass fencing.
How it works

What to expect.

In-home consultation and condition assessment first — we tell you honestly whether you need a $20k refresh or a full $60k remodel, and we'll give you both numbers. After design approval, most resurface jobs are done in 2–3 weeks. Full remodels run 6–10 weeks. Same project manager start to finish, same week-by-week schedule, same fixed price.

Common questions

Pool Remodeling FAQ.

How often does a pool in Arizona need to be resurfaced?+

Pebble interiors typically last 10–15 years in the Valley; standard plaster 7–10 years. Hard water, automation failures, and chemistry issues can shorten that. If you're seeing rough texture, staining you can't scrub off, or visible aggregate exposure, it's time.

Can you remodel a pool from another builder?+

Yes — we remodel pools built by every major Arizona builder including Shasta, Cal Pools, Presidential, California Pools, Premier, and dozens of others. We inspect the shell and plumbing first and only proceed if the bones are solid.

How long does a Pebble Tec resurface take?+

Two to three weeks for a clean resurface (drain, chip, prep, plaster, fill, start-up). Add a week if waterline tile is being replaced. Add 2–4 weeks for coping or deck work.

Do you offer financing on remodels?+

Yes — same financing options as new builds. Soft-pull pre-qualification through Lyon Financial, GreenSky, and Union West. See the financing page for terms.
