Every AE pool follows the same nine-phase process — engineered for Arizona's soil, heat, monsoon wind, and hard water. Typical timeline from break-ground to first swim is 8–12 weeks. Full backyard transformations run 12–18 weeks.
In-home consultation, site survey, and a true 3D rendering of your actual yard — not a stock template. You see exactly what the pool, decking, and surrounding outdoor space will look like before a shovel hits the ground.
Structural engineering, HOA submittal, and municipal permits — all pulled under AE's license, not yours. You are not the responsible contractor on the permit. We are.
Pool layout staked and approved on site with you. Excavation runs 1–3 days depending on access, soil, and pool shape. Spoils hauled off the same day.
Engineered rebar cage tied to spec, returns and skimmers plumbed, gas line stubbed for heater. All inspected by the city before we move on.
The structural shell is shot in a single day by Arizona's most experienced gunite crews. We cure it for 7–10 days with daily water-cure to prevent the shrinkage cracks Arizona heat is famous for.
Waterline tile, raised-wall tile, spillways, and coping (travertine, porcelain, or flagstone) installed. This is where the pool starts to look like the rendering.
Travertine, pavers, or broom-finish concrete deck. Surrounding pergolas, outdoor kitchens, fire features, and turf go in during this window so everything is finished together — not as a second project months later.
Pentair, Jandy, or Hayward equipment pad assembled. Pump, filter, heater, salt cell or chlorinator, automation, and pool light wired and inspected. Equipment is sized to your specific pool — not a one-size-fits-all bundle.
Pebble Tec, Pebble Sheen, or quartz finish applied and acid-washed. Pool filled, balanced, brushed daily for 28 days during plaster cure. We walk you through equipment, automation, and care — then you swim.
