Plumbing Rough-In
The phase where all pool, spa, and water-feature plumbing is laid before gunite is sprayed — usually PVC schedule 40.
Pool plumbing should be 2.5" minimum on suction lines and 2" on returns to support a variable-speed pump efficiently. Inspect the pressure test (24 hours at 25 PSI) before gunite is poured — fixing a leak after the shell is sprayed is a major cost.
