Cyanuric Acid (Stabilizer)
A chemical that protects chlorine from UV degradation — critical in Arizona sun, but harmful when over-dosed.
Cyanuric acid (CYA, or 'stabilizer') extends chlorine's life by 5–8× in direct sun. Target 30–50 ppm in outdoor AZ pools. Over 100 ppm dramatically reduces chlorine effectiveness and forces partial drains to correct.
