Artificial Turf
Synthetic grass made of polyethylene or nylon fibers with a polyurethane backing — replaces water-hungry sod with a no-irrigation surface.
Modern artificial turf is dramatically better than 2010-era product: realistic blade variation, integrated thatch, antimicrobial infills. Expect $8–$14/sf installed in the Valley. Base preparation (compacted aggregate with drainage) is more important than the turf product itself.
